Google rankings

Blog Author: Aaron Smith | May 9th, 2013

We are seeing reports of some changes to Google rankings.  This has come about as a result of an apparent change to Google’s search algorithm (the process for finding an item with specific properties among a collection of items).  It seems that these changes have been made in an effort to “punish” people using dodgy tactics to manipulate search engine rankings.

Whatever the reasoning or the mathematics behind the changes, the outcome is that some companies are finding their rankings have greatly improved, while others have disappeared into obscurity.  If you have SEO campaigns in place, it may be a good time to review your strategies and make sure that these changes haven’t adversely affected you.
